Police Brutality, Pepper Spray at New School Shown on Video



About 20 police officers wearing helmets and carrying batons, plastic shields and pepper spray entered a New School building at 65 Fifth Avenue around 11 a.m. on Friday, arresting 19 protesters who had occupied it as part of a determined protest aimed at the university’s president, Bob Kerrey.[NY TIMES]

I have no words for these type of situations...

The only positive thing I can take from this is no one was shot to death, I'm not saying it was OKAY but at least no one died :/

Omgoodness. I cannot believe that things like this are starting to happen on a daily basis. I just don't understand what the problem is anymore. It just doesn't make anysense. How can you take a protest, which is legal in the United States of America, and make it into close to a riot like situation. There was no need or reason for these police officers to use deadly force. This angers me and prompts me to be active in the community as a young man. Fight for your rights!

i swear the police in the US are soo brutal compared to the UK ones, but saying that- they aint exactly the nicest ones kmt a lil bit of power eh

on another note...love the new layout, have i not been visting for that long?!
