The McQueen Camp has released an official statement regarding the tragedy here.

"ON BEHALF OF LEE MCQUEEN'S FAMILY, ALEXANDER MCQUEEN TODAY ANNOUNCES THE TRAGIC NEWS THAT LEE MCQUEEN, THE FOUNDER AND DESIGNER OF THE ALEXANDER MCQUEEN BRAND HAS BEEN FOUND DEAD AT HIS HOME. AT THIS STAGE IT IS INAPPROPRIATE TO COMMENT ON THIS TRAGIC NEWS BEYOND SAYING THAT WE ARE DEVASTATED AND ARE SHARING A SENSE OF SHOCK AND GRIEF WITH LEE'S FAMILY.

LEE'S FAMILY HAS ASKED FOR PRIVACY IN ORDER TO COME TO TERMS WITH THIS TERRIBLE NEWS AND WE HOPE THE MEDIA WILL RESPECT THIS."

Remembering AALIYAH ....

8 years ago today (August 25th) the world lost an angel, Aaliyah Dana Haughton to a tragic plane crash that shocked the entire world. Also aboard the plane was Anthony Dodd, Eric Foreman, Scott Gallin, Keeth Wallace, Gina Smith, Douglas Kratz, Christopher Maldonado, and Luis Morales. Aaliyah died at the age of 22. Her leagacy forever lives on in my heart and the rest of her fans. I often wonder if she was still here would music be the same and if we would have to deal with some of the garbage being played! Gone but never forgotten, RIP Aaliyah.
